I have one on my 9mm carbine. The gun has become the most shot in my collection as I also use it to shoot Speed Steel. I don't know if it's an optic that I'd take to war, but it has held up very well to everything I've done to it. My only complaint is that the nut and spacer on the mount has begun to rust. I often shoot in the rain and make a good attempt to clean the firearms when I get home, but don't always have the time.

The SPOT generally stays on the rifle so I can't speak to the mounts ability to rezero, but I have never noticed any change in zero. I generally shoot at ranges 50yards or less with it.

The optic also has less blooming than the other cheaper nock-offs I've seen as well. Down the road I probably will get another one for a dedicated .22LR upper I'm building. In general I am very satisfied with mine and my choice to get one.

Hope this helps.....

I purchased a SPOT sight for me 22 AR pistol.  I've been to the range 3 times and the sight has been great.  The MOA is 3 or 4 and this works great at distances of 25-50 yards.  Well satisfied.

I have SPOTs on a 10/22, 9mm AR-15, a 5.56 SLR-106 and a 5.45 AK-105. All have been outstanding; they keep zero, are plenty bright and battery life is surprisingly good. I use them primarily as "Aimpoint simulators" on my training/fun guns (i.e. the ones I won't be betting my life on and can't justify a $300+ optic for). That said, I just completed a 3-day, 1100-round class with the -105, running the SPOT on an Ultimak rail, and had no problems related to the sight.

The SPOT can be had with a 3MOA or 6MOA dot.
