If I were to use a fixed rear buis on A3 upper, such as LMT, would I need f-marked or standard fsb? Is it correct that I would need f-marked fsb for a detachable carry handle?

You do not really “need” an F-marked FSB. There is always the option of going with a .040” taller FSP like the ones offered by Bushmaster.

Yes you should pick the f-marked for a flatop if available.
It is not a must have item, just makes it better.

so can you explain to me the difference in the fsb's f versus non f relative to the upper receivers A2 & flattop.
