Millet DMS-1 (Page 41 of 41)
| I tried searching and didn't pop anything. What mount should I use with a CASV-EL since it makes everything sit a tad higher?? Do I need to take off the FSP and get a folding FSP to run a 1-4? I'm also not sure if I am NTCH as i have never owned a scope but figured this would be a good starting scope. Your input is appreciated. Thank you |

Thank you Above 1x you won't notice the front sight much if at all. For mounting you can just get some good rings. Something around a 1-1 1/8" (center of ring) heigth would get you just above your front sight post. If you want a one piece, Armalite is the lowest @ 1.25". |

Skimmed threw 25 or so pages of this and then got a little bored. By the simple fact that this scope has 81 pages I am assuming that it is GTG. So I will be buying one soon with a LT SPR-E mount. Wondering what the best price on this thing could be as well as the current generation. ( Could not find any info on that). Best price I could find is $199. Hope I am eading in the right direction. |

| I bought a Vector Optics Arbiter 1-4x24IR riflescope off ebay for $119 and it is the same scope as the Millet DMS-1. It is exactly the same scope! I am wondering since Millet sold out to Bushnell if the Chinese company that made the scopes for Millet are no longer bound by a contract, so they are starting to sell the same scope, re-vamped with their name on them. I could not believe that the Vector Optics scope was as nice as it is. I know it sounds to good to be true but I am covinced that it is the same scope as the Millet DMS-1. |

the primary arms 1-4x is the same as the DMS1, just with a different reticule. Does the Vector have the donut/dot ? ah googled it and saw that it does.....
Vector also supplies many of the tactigay CounterSniper scopes, you can get them direct from vector though for about 1/3 of the cost and 1/1000 of the ninjaness. |

This I would like to know also. I just got in my DMS last week and read it can take a killflash but they don't offer one for it.  Weird.

I've been looking for something like this for my StG556, I borrowed the Strikefire from my son's AR for now, but had second thoughts due to the fungus issue. Since Primary Arms is inspecting their inventory for the problem, I'm gonna go with the Millet, and should be ordering from them at the end of the month.

We have new production DMS-1s in stock. Our deluxe extended mount allows NTCH and will clear most low prifile rear sights, including Magpuls. $248 with mount. I Just swapped it out for a RRA High Rise Cantilever scope mount today, and the eye relief is much better. Not a bad mount for the money, IMHO. Retail is $60, I found one for $52. |

Thee is nothing wrong with Bushnell. The majority of there product lines are lower budget stuff that I wouldn't touch, but their good stuff is very good. And from what I read their warranty dept isn't as fast as Millett was (partially due to the transitional phase of the Millett acquisition), but they take care of their customers. That being said, for $50 more, the Leatherwood CMR to me was a HUGE upgrade in the reticle, features, glass, size, and even ergonomics (magnification ring style & illumination knob location). Sorry Millett. |

After I quit bitching, I kept on shooting with it as I needed to get a review for the mount done. I was suprised the DMS did in fact keep zero but I could not get a good sight picture. All I could see was a ghost and kept it center of the target and it held right on at 50yds. I sent it for repair and they sent me a new scope. I kept the new one in the safe un-used for almost a year and then sold it off last week to a friend for a .17HMR he bought. Yes, he knows all about my no-luck with the scope. I will not be buying another one ever. They will not hold up to any hard (or soft, in my case) use.

But really, your scope it bent as bad as the one in my picture? I really would send it back for a replacement. It should not be bent in any way. Mine was so bad I could only guess where the center of my target was when I pulled the trigger. The reticle was so out of focus it was not funny. No matter what I did I could not get it to focus, not even a tiny bit. Every thing worked but it just would not focus. 
Not only the reticle but the entire sight picture was out of focus. I could see the color of the target and the red of the center but that was it. Greg |

Picked one up not too long back for something middle of the road optics to put on my AR till I could figure out what I really wanted. Price was right and bought it with the ar-pepr mount setup.
Pleasantly suprised, decent glass holds zero etc... overall I am comfortable with it for the money. I will stick with it for a bit until I decide on something more and the right deal comes along. I would probably mention it as an option if someone wanted something similar to what I did, a decent middle of the road 1-4x with illumination IMO. |
So I went to a firearms instructors conference last week. I won the door prize. It was a DMS1 scope. I didn't know what to do with it, so I slapped it in an ADM Recon-X mount (which was unused in my parts box) and put it on my BCM M4. I haven't shot it yet.

Well I picked up a DMS-1 from Midway-USA about a year ago to go on a middy project that I was working on at the time but changed my mind. It has been sitting out in the garage unloved until this morning. I decided to put it on my BCM M4 to use as a pig rig. I just need to get up to the range and zero it.
