| I apologize if this has been asked 100 times already but I'm looking for a scope option. What I need the scope for is short range 100-200 yard shooting that won't break the bank. The scope won't be used that often and I was also wondering if there was a quick release option that people use. Please let me know what you think. Thanks! |

lesson 1. Do not settle for second best when putting accesories on an ar. Save your money and Get a nice optic, you will be more happy in the long run, Remember the old saying you get what you pay for, and i will assure you it is the same way in choosing optics. Eotech, Aimpoint, Trijicon, Will all be more than happy to assist you in getting what you need. Are you can look at a leupold, ZEISS, or anyother quality scope if you decide that you want more range. |

If your only shooting to 200 yards, and won't be using a scope "that often", stick with Iron sights until you can afford a good optic. Cheap optics won't keep their zero, and will drastically deminish picture quality. Good Iron sights are easily capable of hitting targets at over 500 yards, if your ability allows. If you want a red-dot, they are inexpensive but you'll have to buy a good mount. I couldn't get my Bushnell to zero until I thru awat the factory rings and mounted it in a high-quality mount. I'll eventually replace it with an Aimpoint or maybe the new Burris 235. The mount will work with either of these. |
