Yes; mounted a Burris FFII 3-9x40 in a set of Warne Maxima AR-15 rings (p/n 204L) on my SPR-Thing awhile back. These are basically the same as the Tacticals, but use a torque lever instead of a hex nut for attachment.

The Pros:
• Price - compared to other options out there (LaRue, ARMS, etc), the Warnes are pretty reasonable. Even moreso if you can get them on sale or at Brownells' Trade Discount pricing like I did.
• Construction - robust design, steel construction (though the Tacticals are also available in aluminum) with a stainless steel "recoil key" (mounting crossbar). Multiple (6) Torx screws hold the ring halves together.
• Quick Detach - utilizing the aforementioned torque lever. Very stable and secure mounting, unless you want them to come off.

The Cons:
• Vertically split rings with 6 Torx screws and a separate/detachable crossbar are a PITA to install. Very much a three-handed job.
• QD does not necessarily equate to "return to zero," despite Warne's advertising. The levers do not close with the same amount of torque every time like LaRue or ARMS, which may (and in my case did) cause the scope to be off some when dismounting and remounting.
• The rings will "peen" the sides of the flat top rail, even when correctly installed per the instructions (i.e. not over-torquing).

So there ya go. I ended up selling the scope and ring setup along with the gun. On the Recon Carbine I built soon after, I elected to go with a LaRue SPR mount instead. Lightweight, QD with true return-to-zero, easy to install and won't damage the rails. Twice the price of the Warnes, but worth it IMO.

HTH!

Had one on my Savage .308 for quite a while.  No problems, I would buy another set.
