Will it really make a different if I mount a rear BUIS in the front? I can't seem to find a sight I like for the front end, but plenty for the rear.

You're most likely not going to get a proper sight picture based on the way the sights are designed if you use two rear sights.  Without looking for the specific TM's, that you can find online if you look, you create your sight picture by looking through the rear, which is an apeture sight, a ring, basically, with a small hole in the middle, and aligning it with the front sight post, which is one little post in the middle of the "ears" of the front sight post.

Almost all rear BUIS systems I can think of, with the exception of an HK style diopter sight works the same way.  If you used two rear sights, you would just have two apeture rings.  I guess it could work in an odd kind of way like an old school ring and bead sight, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it.  Also, most BUIS's aren't adjustable for elevation, which is how you would sight it in, as the front sight post usually screws in and out to raise or lower the point of impact.
