Anyone tried one of these yet?

Seems like a nice concept. A little bulky though.

THoughts?

Just logged on to ask the same question, as they appear to be hitting dealer shelves now.  Surprised to see nothing here!

Also curious about manufacturer claims that they're in use by the US .mil already?

For $1200-1400 you get a red dot with a small FOV and a useless visible laser co aligned to it...

Get an Aimpoint, mount, and an LDI OTAL.

Cheaper, better redundancy, already proven.

I think Insight only released this cuz the XM8 took a much deserved shit.

Probably. I already have 2 aimpoints, 3 eotechs, an elcan...numerous leupolds etc... Lots of guns, not quite enough optics.

I have used the ISM and I found it to be a great reflex sight. As for field of view you look through it not into it and I like the less then 2 MOA dot. The red laser worked great for CQB work at close ranges. The laser is only 5mw and if you want a red laser that you can see in bright sun light at long ranges you will need a lot more than 5mw. The ISM is very lightweight and it doesn't change the balance of the rifle.

As for the price they sell for about $1,000 or less and the co-alignment of the red dot and laser is great. I spend my time shooting not trying to adjust the laser. If my red dot is on target, I know my laser is there also.

There seems to be a long line waiting for the units and there are several companies trying to copy it.

I'm glad to hear that you liked it. I'm going to give it a couple trips to the range and see how it does compared to the eotech. Might run it in an IPSC rifle sidematch if theres one this month. If it sucks, I'll get rid of it.
