Ok, I am in the market for a new red dot sight. Can all the Trijicon TriPower owners chime in and tell me their thoughts on this sight? Good? or Bad? Thank you, Phessor |

I really like mine. The chevron is easy for me to acquire and is very clear. I have trouble with the EOTech reticle and the Aimpoint dot being a tad fuzzy. More the fault of my astigmatism than the sights, but the fact remains that I have far less trouble seeing the chevron. The glass is flawless, and of course, no parallax. The tube on the latest version is metal and though I haven't attempted to destroy it I think it would take a decent beating. The light collector does an excellent job in daylight, and surprisingly well on moderately bright nights. Things not so great: The relatively (as compared to Aimpoint) short battery life. However, for me, the battery is not needed the vast majority of the time. The tritium illumination is really only useful with NV. The tritium was apparently brighter on the older model, but was dimmed to be more compatible with NV. Things others have complained about, but that don't bother me: Some folks feel the buttons aren't tactile enough, but I haven't had any trouble turning the unit on or adjusting brightness in dark conditions by feel. Also, when running it on battery at night, the fiber optic light collector will illuminate from within, so don't lose the little cover that goes on top if you're a super stealthy operator type. As said above, make sure it is the latest model. And if you can find someone who has one that you can try out, all the better. I sold an Eotech to help fund mine and I haven't regretted it in the least. Alpine |

Thank you Alpine. I sold my Aimpoint M2 to help fund an EOTech 553 for my SBR but I think that it may set up to high on my VLTOR CASV-EL handguard. So I figured I had better look for a different sight. I have narrowed it down to another Aimpoint M3 or the Trijicon TriPower. Phessor |
