Okay so I just got my super sniper in.  I thought Tasco went out of business but I got a tasco warranty card and a Tasco manual?  The box had a SWFA sticker on it.  Is there anyway I can make sure I got a legitimate supersniper scope?  Or did I just get taken for a ride.

Thanks

Tasco makes the Super Sniper brand.
Nice scopes.

The scope is made exclusively for SWFA, so it's legit.

You're good to go. It's sad that a decent name had to go to crap, just like every other budget scope maker. I grew up with Tasco scopes and have only replaced one, and guess what, it was the newest one. Also the last one. Enjoy that SS.

SWFA owns the rights to the Super Sniper scopes.  They are made for them in Japan.  I have a 10X and love it.  It is just as clear as my Leupold Mark 4 Tactical that I paid almost 3 times as much for.  You can not beat the Super Sniper for the price.  SWFA is a CLASS ACT!

Its my understanding that Tasco never made scopes, they had them made and put there name on them. SWFA acquired the rights and had the OEM in Japan make some quality improvements and is now the soul source for the SS line. One way SWFA keeps the cost low is to use plain white boxes and use the surplus Tasco labeled instructions. Its a heck of a scope for the money.
