Thinking seriously about getting an Accupoint TR21R.  I understand the Larue SPR E is THE mount for this optic but $215 is a huge sum to pay for a scope that will only cost me $250, I have some gift certs from Santa.

How about the Armalite 1 Piece mount?  Does it provide the proper eye relief for the TR21 when mounted forward on the upper?

What about a RRA scout rail and some nice Leupold Rings?  Would that work well enough?

What other options exsist for this optic to get proper eye relief without breaking the bank.

A YHM rail extension won't break anyone's bank and works.
But you'll have to put it as far forward on the rail as possible and put the scope completely on the extension (not just the other ring). But I've done it, it worked without probs.

Thanks.  I thought some sort of scout rail or extentions would work fine without going broke.  I am a huge fan of Larue and want a SPR E but at the moment I have some Leupold Mk4 medium high 1" rings and all I need is the rail instead of dropping $200+ on and SPR E.

I know the SPR E is "THE" choice for this application but common sense says dont spend the $ if you dont have to.
Maybe I will when my 2006 bonus shows up in Feb.  HMMMMMMM

Thanks
