Anyone out there have experience with the SWFA super sniper scope?  I have $400.00 to spend on a scope for my Rem. 700 .308 VLS and I want to get the best scope for the money I have.  I know $1500.00 scopes are better, problem is I don't have $1500.00.  I read alot of good reviews for the super sniper.  Input appreciated.

I have a 10x SS.

Its a great scope. Its about VXII clear IMHO. And you can beat it up, it doesn't care.

Also, check out Nikon. Big bang for buck.

I have a 10x42 SS and I like it.  Have it on a 24" RRA varmint rifle.

I have a 20X SS on my .50.  It's been a great scope so far, no complaints.

Have had mine on a Savage FP10 20" for 3 years...these are the best bang for the buck out there.  Some higher ends have a better eye relief, but as long as you have a consistent cheek weld...you are OK.  I'd buy mine again and plan on getting another.

Get It!

My only wish would be variable power for the Super Sniper...A good solid bit of kit though.

Nightforce NXS 5.5-22 IIRC

Leupold 6.5-20 or 5.5-25

Be careful about purchasing a fixed high power like a 20X, as the mirage can be a problem at extreme range when you can't dial them down to a lower magnification.

I have a 16x SS sitting on top of my .50 BMG. The scope came with the rifle. I am happy with it, and from what I have read on the 'net most people are happy with thiers too. The SS seems to be pretty popular with the fifty crowd that doesn't have a lot of spare money to spend.

Another 10x42 SS. Save up another $100 and splurg for the side focus, best bang for the buck.

I have a 10x42 super sniper on a Rock River 20" varmint rifle.  It is a very good scope in my opinion for the money.link If you have a 308 , you may want the 16x or 20x Super snipe scope. This depends on the distance you are planning to shoot.

The super sniper scopes really hold their value, but you can save  money if you buy a slightly used model.link2

I think a fixed power scope is better than a varaible power scope, but you can do some research here on scopes.link3

I would beware of brand name knock off scopes or a generic no name scopes. I would get one from an established internet company because you want a warranty. You could get a bad product and have no warranty.

I have one on top of a varmint AR that I built about 5 years ago. I put it in Leupold Mark IV rings. This is the gun that I carry around in my old Willys jeep. It has gotten bounced around quite a bit, but hasn't lost zero in the four years that it has been on the gun. There's quite a few coyotes now that have perished because of this scope/gun combo.

I just got a Rem 700 VLS .308, and the 10x42 Super Sniper was my first pick. I am impressed with it and wouldn't change. I will post some pictures up here with the VLS and my SS scope to give you the look. As far as the function of the scope, above average. If you do any business, go through SWFA, they are fast, easy and cheap.

FYI - I just picked up a Nikon Monarch UCC 6.5-20x44 with their new BDC from SWFA for $419, which is a pretty good price for this excellent, rugged glass.

Great P-Dog scope!

Looks like a good scope.  Why did you pay $419?  Price Lists on SWFA at $349.
