| I've been looking around for some quick-detach scope mounts for my AR, and I am finding nothing but LaRue Tactical. I am on a shoestring (college) budget, and I was wondering if there are some more affordable alternatives to LaRue? |

A.R.M.S. makes some quick detach scope rings. I don't know what number designation they have though. Also try here. Look around and you'll probably find some more. |
+1 I was mainly using the website I mentioned as a guide to find something you may like. I would then suggest browsing the EE for whatever it is you found that you liked. |
Trust me, I was not in any way comparing quality on any level. I was simply answering the OP's question as he stated it. Quality was not in the criteria. IMHO, if you want quality then go Larue. |
Hi what type of optic did you want to add to your AR. For Std. 30mm or 1in scopes. You can get a Armalite mount. You can also pick up good used Aimpoint std. Mounts for your Aimpoint. But you get what you pay for. And in a quick-detach mount. Quality of work is paramount. You might want to save a bit more and get a Good used Larue. In the long run it will give you better service and Hold up better. I have both there SPR and Aimpoint mounts. Top notch. And for what you are getting a good deal.
