Have yet to get an answer on this email, can you answer it.  Thanks

I have an EOTech on it's way that I purchased from you and I have one question about it.  You list the 510 AA model as: Product ID: "Eot512A65".  Every other place I looked for the 510 AA, it was listed as: model "EO-E512A65/1"   or  model "512 ver F".
My question is what does the "/1" or the "ver F" mean?  Are they all the same?  Did I get the latest version?

Best regards, Pete

I own a model 551 (N-type batteries) rev F and a model 552 (AA batteries) rev F / both NV capable from EOTech. I do not know what the "1" stands for, but I believe that rev F is the newest and latest release/upgrade to their models. Although they do have a newer version out with a mount (A.R.M.S) attached to it already and I think it goes by the 553 model, and they have another one similar, but I think it is mainly for Special forces / Law enforcement, because of the depth feature. Here is some info that may or may not help you-

http://www.eotech-inc.com/news_upgrades.php

It gives some info about the rev F in the above url.

Good luck!

bf2,
Thanks for the help.  I am framiliar with the meaning behind the numbers, 511, 512, 551, 552, 553, and so on.  I believe that the "F" version is the latest.  However, I have seen most places list the 512 as 512A65/1(my guess is that is the "F"), and the place where I bought mine lists it as 512A65.  There is no "/1", so I am wondering what it means(pre "F"?).  I hope to hear back from them soon.  I'll post when I do.

Dealer says that his current list from EOTech ONLY list a "512A65", and no "512A65/1".  He can't confirm that his is the ver "F" or not.  He said if it is not marked "Ver. F" to let him know.
Anyone know when the ver F can out?  It is marked "ver F" on the side of the EOTech, right?

Yep- It is a very small little white F marked near the corner.

I do not know when the ver F came about but my 552  ver F was manufactured in Jan 2006 (located on the bottom of the sight housing), if that is any help, which it most likely is not. If it is being sold now, I would expect that it would be a rev F and not a rev D, especially from a dealer.

maybe the '1' is the 1 MOA dot model.

Got the EOTech today and am happy to see it is a Rev F made July 2006.  I also got a reply from EOTech and they said the 512A65/1 and the 512A65 are the same.
I did not want to name the dealer until I was certain I got the latest EOTech.  Looks like I had NOTHING to worry about.  I am 100% satisfied with my second buying experience with The Optic Zone!  They have always had the best price and outstanding service.  I highly recommend them.
