I'm convinced I saw somewhere a clamp-on folding front sight fitted just behind the flash supressor on an AR-15.  I'm trying to get a "rifle" sight radius on a 16" carbine (eyesight issue).  I've thought about using an LMT clamp-on gasblock and maybe cutting it in half, but the barrel I have measures .740 at the flash suppressor, not .750.

Anyone seen such a critter as I've described?  (as I recall it used a 2-piece clamping arrangement....similar to a scope ring).

YHM (Yankee Hill Machine) makes it.

Yankee Hill is another option....but as far as I know, their sights also include the gasblock....what I recall seeing is just the sight...no gasblock mechanism.

There's this: linky

If you want one of those, I have one I could sell you for a good price.

I'm interested in this if NSEGE isn't.

I sent you an e-mail. Let me know.

There's also this Samson one.

It's still a gas block, but it doesn't have a bayonet lug or anything.
