| Anyone familiar with or tried one of these scopes on their AR. Burris has a pretty good rep and I can't swing a Leupold. (no denero) Thinking about the IOR, but even that is up to around $400. Anyone? Doc |

I recently returned a Burris Short Mag fixed 4x scope to MidwayUSA. The reticle was canted in the tube. I replaced it with this for about the same price. YMMV.  Link: Leupold 3-9x40 VX-I ETA: Wilson Combat mount, really wanted the LaRue.

huh, my only experience with Burris was a pistol scope from Midway and the recticle was also canted... I just don't like the look of the ghey cursive script on the outside of the short mag scopes. Here's a hint scope makers, curvise blue or white script does not belong on any type of rifle, whether its a walnut stocked hunting rifle or uber tactical CQB weapon... |
