2MOA dot in M3 and 4 MOA dot in M2, the M3 also comes with a rubber cover that you can get in several colors.

About that rubber cover......... don't work if you are a lefty.

The other big difference is 40,000 hours.  The M2 has a battery life of 10,000 hrs. and the M3 has a battery life of 50,000 hrs.  Bummer about the rubber cover if you are a lefty.  I am a lefty and use my M3 the way a righty would.  I leave mine on all the time so it is no big deal.  50,000 hours is 5 years & 9 months if my math is correct.

Lest not forget, Aimpoint has claimed the M3 is further internally ruggedized vs. the M2.  Not that the CompM2 needs any fixing, it is a fine optic with no inherent problems.

The aimpoint m3 is available with two dot sizes, either 2moa or 4moa and  has a 50,000 hour battery life, if used in nvd mode it has a 500,000 hour battery life. It comes with the black rubber cover, you can get a dark earth color instead. The m2 has a 4moa dot and a 10,000 hour life on the battery, if you use it in night vision mode with a starlight scope the battery life is 100,000 hours.

Just the rubber cover wont. If you have the battery/switch compartment set up for a lefty the cover doesn't fit.

Try contacting some of the dealers in the Industry Section, I am sure they will give you a good price, Wes @ MSTN is a good guy to deal with.
