Forgive me, this is probably a dumb question, but here it goes:

I have an adjustable magnification scope that changes the "zero" when the magnification is adjusted.  In other words, when moved from low to high magnification, the "zero" moves to the right.  My question is, is this caused by:

(1) a cheap, crappy scope; or
(2) a scope that is not properly mounted?

Thanks in advance for not flaming me.

If the zero change is repeatable, I would bet it's the scope. Check the mounting screws for tightness to be sure.

The best fix, barring buying a new scope, is to leave the scope set to one power and not adjust the mag any more.  BSW
