What are some iron sight replacements you've used? Whats hot? Whats crap? Those tritium front sights any good? how about the kns precision's duplex front sight? I'm trying to get away from optics. What do you guys recommend? |

I'd recommend you get and learn to use the standard service rifle sights. Then, if you want to go whole-hog, get White Oak Precision to pin the rear sight and to improve the sight's performance. You can even make the front sight windage-adjustable to ensure a no wind zero is at teh midpoint of the rear sight's windage travel. That is all. |
+1 Its a little wide when you are trying to hit 300yd targets but more than acceptable for any distance less than that. I only have experience with the front sight but I really don't see any need for the rear sight. As long as you use the nose to charging handle method of shooting. You don't need rear tritium sights. |
I was always wondering about the tritium front sight thickness. Doesn't anyone make a tritium front sight with NM width(s)? I wish TruGlo made a slim tritium fiber/optic combo front sight for the A2/AR like the do for handguns. |
