No experience whatsoever with red dot sights Wife wants one but wants to know more. A4 16'' upper carbine . When sighting in just where should the dot be ? Is the same cheek to weld important or can you move your head around and still hit what you are aiming at ? All I can think of for the moment. Oh yes she will be useing a riser mount and BUIS for back up sights. Thanks. |

When sighting in just where should the dot be ? The typical is 100yds. Is the same cheek to weld important or can you move your head around and still hit what you are aiming at ? With a 0x sight like Aimpoint, EoTech, or SPOT you do not have to worry about you head placement so you should be able to hit the target. No red dot is completely paralax free so for zeroing purposes I still like to center the dot in the optic, generally the paralax error will be roughly 3/4 the size of your dot. I would also recommend zeroing at 50m or roughly 1 inch low @ 25m |
