Just mounted my new Trij. TAO1NSN on my Colt 16in. HBAR and when I sight through the optic I can see the outline of the front sight post of the weapon.Am I doing something wrong?TIA,Hairpin.

Are you doing this inside your house?  

I've found that looking through an ACOG inside makes this more evident.  I believe it's because (for me) the places I end up sitting or standing to do so (middle of a room) tend to also be under the indoor lights, and the places I focus on (distant wall in another room) are dimmer.  The light shining down on my rifle illuminates the front sight tower and makes it stand out.

When I do the same thing outside, I don't see the tower, or if I do, it's less noticeable.

You can either practice and get used to it, or get a folding front sight.

Onslaught has it right,
try to sight-in/adjust outdoors
with an ACOG.
