I got the a.r.m.s. #40 A2 sight awhile back.  The other day, while shooting it with my Eotech, the slotted nut that secures the sight got loose and fell off.  I can't find it anywhere.  Does anybody know where I can get another one?  I've emailed a.r.m.s. but have gotten no response.  Does anybody know the thread pitch or what size nut I would need to secure the #40 back on?

Any help would be much appreciated.

My best advice would be to take the whole sight to a good hardware store, and try out hex nuts until you find the one that fits (preferably a blued one). Then use blue loctite on it when you install the sight back on the rifle.

Locktite is supplied with all the sights, etc., either a dab already on the thread like the Maytech, or with a tube of it with the sights, like the #40's. Use it is the best policy.

Thanks for the replies guys.  When I got the sight, it didn't have any loctite with it.  I meant to put some on there, but I guess I just forgot to get around to it.  I'll definitely remember this time.  Anyway, thanks again.
