This sounds off - what length barrel are you using / what ammo?

Generally, 100m and 300m out of a 20" with GI ammo is about the same, and you aim lower for 200m.

thanks for the reply.  to answer your question the rifle is a bushmaster m4 with a 16" barrel.  im shooting 55 gr. surplus.  i understand basic ballistics what i really want to know.  does trijicon have a dezignated spot on the chevron reletive to 200m.  like they do from 100 m.  too 800m.

I'm pretty sure the TA-31F is supposed to be calibrated for a 20" barrel.  We use those on our M16A4s - I don't have the answer to your question - I am a donut guy myself. With the donut, 200m is the top of the circle.  The chevron doesn't have anything above the tip of the chevron, which is one of many reasons why I personally prefer the donut.

Whew - I'm glad someone finally showed up with the info.  Thank you.

I was starting to worry about this place.  When I'm the only guy replying to a question in a tech forum, we're in trouble .

The TA31F is for a 14.5” barrel using 62gr.

100yds use the tip
200yds the bottom side of the triangle tip
300yds bottom of the triangle

For the chevron, use the tip of the chevron for 100m, the inside tip of the chevron for 200m and the point at the top of the ranging tree for 300m (the bottom of the illuminated portion of the post is the 400m mark)
