Saw em over at Wally World with the designations 10 eye, 11 eye, etc...

What does that refer to?  XX milimeter eyepiece?

Do I want the exact same size as my scope or one milimeter or so larger?

Looking to get them for my Super Sniper coming soon with a 42mm objective, and not sure about the eyepiece.

I have them on my 10/22 and like em.

Will it be difficult to mount one on the eyepiece?  It doesn't look like there is sufficient space...

Well, those sizes are just Butler Creeks arbitray designations...they correspond to size that fit the outside diamer of the front lens housing (objective), or the rear lens housing (eye).  In other words, measure the outside of the the scope tube at the front end and back end, and get the closest size that fits...many times that won't be exact, so you have to get one that's a little too big.

Most scopes use a different size eye and objective end.  Also, in the flip ups, the eye end has the little red button that you press that pops the cover open; on the objective end, it's got two little tabs on at around 4:00 and 8:00 to accomplish that.

I have the BCs for my Super Sniper, but don't remember what size they are.

From experience: take your scope to the store and test fit the covers.  On two different occasions, I purchased the wrong ones, using the measurement chart on the box and a caliper.

I'll just take it down there with me then :)  Thanks.

That's your best bet at getting the correct size first.

Butler Creek also makes the see-through covers...I think they call them "Blizard" if that would do you any good.  I use the regular ones FWIW.

The SWFA website has the sizes link on the SS page.

I dont need see through ones.  It only takes like 2 seconds to pop them open.
