I'm looking at getting a detachable front sight...not a flip up, but just a regular old A2 style sight that can come off.  However, I'm wondering if any of you that have these could tell me if they are for mounting on the quad rail, or if they are to be mounted lower, on the gas block.  I'd like one that can be mounted at the height of the quad rail.  Does anyone know of one that is capable of that?

Thanks,

Blackboot.

Does anyone know of a detachable front sight that attaches with small socket head screws and not with a big thumb screw?
