I am new to the use of scopes and I would just like some input.  I have an AR15 DCM with an A2 carry handle.  If you were to put a scope on it would you use an Aimpoint Comp M3 mounted ahead of the handle or a Trijicon TA11 mounted on top of the Handle. I am a little concerned about the cheek weld with the Trijicon, but I like he 4X Magnification.

am trying to split the difference between Close quarter combat and mid distance.

First off Welcome to AR15.com

The TA11 are great and he fit in to the carry handle very nicely and word work great for what you are doing.  The check weld is not the best but it works.  The TA31 is also another ACOG the will work very well.

The Aimpoint will work well in the carry handle as a CQB optic but not the ticket for a Midrange optic.

Give me a call and I would be happy to help you out.

TA11 is a 3.5x optic
Seems to me you should switch to a flat top (if that's DCM legal, I know nothing about it), optics mounted on the carry handle gives you a chin weld

Thanks for the input.  I appreciate it.  By the way,

The flat top is not DCM legal nor is the use of the scope, but it is not totally about that.  I think I would rather mount the scope on my DCM handle then have to buy another Upper $605.00 from Bushmaster and then also pay for the scope.

Actually a flat-top is DCM legal.  You want to make sure the detachable carry handle has NM sights.  I do not know if Bushmaster sells a CMP-legal A4 but I know Armalite does.

You may encounter some issues with the rear sight at 600 yards, however.
