I just bought my first AR and I'm doing some scope shopping...

Can someone tell me the key differences between the EO Tech 552 and the 553? I'm not a Special Forces door kicker or anything, but is the 553 worth the extra dough? Any help with this is greatly appreciated...

The 552 has worked great for me both with a PVS-14 behind it and without it during the day.  

Can't tell you anything about the 553 though, but you've got me curious.

Tag.  I have seen the 553 showing up in threads, but haven't really seen much info on it.  It isn't on the EOTech sight either.

I think it has more to do with the cam style mounts--should be the same "sight" though.

It is a little shorter than the 552.
It uses cr123 Batteries.
It has dual A.R.M.S. mounts.
It has NV settings.
It sits 1/2 inch higher than the others.
