i just bought a "never been fired" bushmaster varminter with a redfield 6X18 by what looks like 40mm scope. it does say 5 STAR. i look around for it, but i have no idea what hell it costs. does anyone know of any place i can look. i've checked a few spots-even typed in search engines-no luck. thanks for any info. also it's on yhm scope rings-any good? thanks jake

Hi deerkillindad21, I like the old Redfield scopes but the new ones are ok. Redfield, Simmons, and Weaver are all under one company now. If you would like an inexpensive target scope we have some Simmons 44mag scopes we will let get for cheep. Leupold are very good scope also. How much are you looking to spend? Here is the Simmons we have them new in the boxs. Simmons 44Mag 6.5-20x44mm Riflescpes, w/AO & TT (801048) Was $175.37 but now save $22.37 = $153.00. (Not on the website yet.) If you would like one with a fine reticle I would recommend the Leupold 57165 VX-III 4.5-14x40mm w/ Varmint Hunters reticle. They are a little more than would you would like to spend but I would do my best to get it as close as possible. The Simmons would do the job but it may not have a fine enough reticle for you.
