do you sometimes see the reflection of the front lense back in your rear lense? Looking though mine I see a slight red reflection back to me in certain lighting conditions. Also, this might be my problem...is you front lense the same distance from the edge all the way around? Thanks, I just got this thing in the mail today and wondering if it has a problem. |

+1 Dot is too bright...one of the reasons I swapped to my ACOG. I found myself constantly playing around with the brightness every time the sun changed position...otherwise I couldn't find anything wrong with the Aimpoint. IMHO best thing going for a true cqb setup. |

You may also occasionally get a red reflection in the rear lens from light that is behind you, usually florescent lights, because the front lens is designed to reflect red light and not let it pass through the lens, but the light that causes the reflection is usually blocked by your head when you shoulder your weapon. The front lens is canted to reduce parallax in the sight, the cant eliminates the need to center the dot in the sight when engaging a target. Rick |
Wow I never knew that. Makes perfect sense. |

Boom, Paul and I used to get hundreds of phone calls about this when we were with Aimpoint and most of the time the person calling was sitting in their office looking through the sight and getting a half moon reflection on the rear lens, but the sights were always fine, it is understandable to panic when you have just dropped $400 on an optic and it appears to not be working properly. |
