Has anyone tried this "new" ATN dot sight? (Not the regular ATN Ultra, with that fragile-looking lens sticking up just waiting to get bashed, this one has a fully shielded lens similar to the Eotech). It sells for $153 at Sportsman's Guide. If no one has tried it yet, would anyone volunteer to be the guinea pig and give us a test report??

It broke while attempting to zero it. This sight and many like them have a locking screw that "locks" in the sight adjustments. The problem with the ATN was that when I locked in the adjustments, they would change. So I would have to loosen the screw and redo the adjustments. Finally after repeating this several times, with very careful tightening of the locking screw each time, the sight body itself just broke. The reticle was also very rough (like it had dirt in it) and was too bright in the dark and not bright enough in the light. |
