If so have you compared it to the m2? is it "better"? |

I switched from the M2 to the M3. The sight is the same size externally, just the dot is smaller. The dot might be a little sharper also. I can't tell a lot of difference, the extra battery life was the main reason I tried one. I figure I will put a new battery in it every 5 years whether I need it or not. Mike |

I think the fact that it can be left on #7 for over 200 days is impressive. If you get deployed you can basically leave it on the whole time and only have to change the battery once halfway through! No turning down or off, its always ready! without worrying about changing batteries all the time. If you or any of your friends are about to go downrange, give them an M3. I think I'll like the 2MOA |
Yes that is a typo, it is actually over 2000 days. (I punched one too few zeros on the calculator) Try dividing 50,000hrs by 24hrs/day = 2083 days. The batteries will last longer than an enlistment! Just change the batteries every time you re-enlist. |
I've put 8-10k rds downrange with an M2, and maybe 500 rds with a buddy's M3... I like the M3 better. The dot is smaller, but seems more intense, so it sort of blossoms when turned up to the highest setting and appears about the same size as the dot on the M2, but brighter. Plus, you can turn it down a click or two and shoot more precisely... plus it's pretty hard to beat 50,000 hour battery life! ![]() |
