[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Spotting Scopes

Anyone try out the cabelas spotting scopes. I was think of the Alaskin Guide 20-60x 70mm scope or the Big Sky 27-80x 80mm scopes. Anyone have any opinions on these?

Any other suggestions on scopes with similar features in the 300-500 buck price range? Nikon 16-48x 60mm Spotter XL II?

A little help would be appreciated.

I use a Nikon and like it a lot it is a very nice optic and rugged.

what made you pick the kowa and which set up did you get? straight/angled, variable power?
