I would like to put a Acog on a FN-FAL. If I go with a TA11C would get BAC, 3.5X35 with 28.9 ft field of view at 100 yards. If I go with a TA01B would not get BAC, but 4x32 with 36.8 field of view at 100 yards. My question is.. Am I better of with a larger field of view without BAC, OR with the BAC and less of a field of view? Does anyone know if Trijicon is coming up with a 4x32 BAC .308 model? |
I here ya. I got a cresent moon shaped scare between my eyes from a 300 WBY |
Good info. This will be going on a DSA Carbine with extreme duty scope mount |

TA01 and TA31's eye relief are too short for a FAL. I have used several different ACOG's mounted on FAL's. And the only way to go is the TA11, also works great on the AR10. The best way (and lowest avalible way to mount a TA11) on a FAL is Ed's www.grsc.com mount. Ed at GRSC is a big fan of the FAL and the TA11 for good reason. The ACOG mounts directly into a cut out in the GRSC dust cover mount, and the eye relief is perfect for the TA11. Just my .02. |

I put a TA31 and a Compact on a 16" barrel FAL just to check them out. If my position was just right I would not get smacked. Sometimes, even when I thought my position was right I would get smacked. I had enough surprise smacks in the eye I was not happy with them as FAL scopes. By the end of testing I had enough marks on my shooting glasses I had to toss them. I also had red marks on my face where the glasses were forced into my face. |
