I'm looking for one too, all I want to do is be able to see where .223 and .308 hit at 250 yards and less.

I've got a Winchester spotting scope that was $99.99 from the local supermarket.  I haven't got to use it yet, but it seems pretty good.  I‘ve read that it’s good for .223 at 200 yards, hopefully I’ll find out soon.

A Kowa for $80?  Off of what truck?

That's like buying the bottom of the line Mercedes.  You'd be better off buying a Volkswagen and put the other $10K in the bank.

I've got a Burris 15-45 X 60.  I think it ran about $160 on sale from Natchez (tripod and carrying case included).  I can spot .223 holes at 200 yards in decent weather (lighting), but I haven't tried it past that range.  My only complaints: touchy focus, eyepiece isn't angled.  Having an angled eyepiece would be very nice for competition shooting, as getting behind the straight eyepiece in the prone position can be difficult.  But overall, I'm pleased with the Burris for the price I paid.  A friend of mine has the Winchester 15-45 X 60, which is priced about the same.  After looking through it, I'm glad I went with the Burris over the Winchester.  Much brighter picture with the Burris.  If I had it to do over, I'd probably spend the extra $ and get the wind river with the angled eyepiece since I shoot in highpower competition.
