| I got a Red Dot sight today for my M4 flat-top. It sits WAY to low when placed on the reciever. Is the standard 1/2" increase in height obtained from mounts/risers usually enough for a comfortable check weld on stock? How do I measure how much rise is actually needed, or is this a trial and error thing? |
| Thanks for the reply. I'm using an inexpensive Tasco Red Dot. I have one on my .22 pistol and love it. I just didn't want to get into the big $$$ untill I was sure this the way I want to go. The problem I'm having is that nobody seems to list exactly the amount of rise from they're units. Bushy says 1/2", but at $60, I want to know (if possible) that it's what I need. I'm hearing 3/4" from a few different people, and was given a link in another thread for a cheaper mount that is 3/4" from the posters experience. I guess that's what I was ultimately looking for, and found. Gotta love the internet...and this site! Thanks. |

i tried the yhm 1/2 risers and they cowitness the reddot with your irons.. forgot how much they were but its the same thing as what bushmaster sell but cheaper. lookup brightflashlights in the industry forum he is a yhm dealer and offers great customer service and pricing |
Yeah BStock, that's the one. I have a question about it though. Not to seen ungrateful for the info, but is this unit any good for $15? I just can believe it's any good when everyone else is at $60 - $65. I'll follow up with an e-mail. Thanks. |
