I want to put one of these Red dot Scopes on my ar15. I have the a1 upper it has the raised handle part. What do i need to put this on. Im new to the AR world but i want to put one of these red dot scopes on it. Any suggestions. I can get the scope for 19.99 but what mounts do i need? |

I'd say just get a $15 TAPCO carry handle mount. The proper mounts that will put the Sight in front of the handle (where it works better) start at 2x the price of your optic - and the decent mounts start at 5x the cost of your sight. So put the optic on top of the carry handle, get used to a chin weld, large amounts of variance from the point of aim, and occasional wandering zero. Or you could keep practicing with your irons and save up your pennies for a decent optic & mount... |
