I've had this mounted for a few years, changing my setup some, and need to put the spacer in this mount...  only problem is I can't get the screws out!!  any idea what they used to put this thing together with?  any suggestions on getting it apart?

Ive never had any problems getting the screws out on any of the many that I have either essembled or disassembled, but get a screwdriver that fits propperly and tourque it. It may have some locktite in it, but they usually use the non permanent kind from what I have seen, so it should not require heat.

Just curious, did you buy it new in the box, or used from someone else. If it was new in the box (or bag) I doubt it would have permanent locktite on there. If you bought it elsewhere, it may?

I bought it new in the box, probably about 6 years ago.  It has 1/8" allen head screws, and I had torqued it to the point I am afraid I will strip out the hole if I put any more pressure on it.  I'm really stumped on this.  I have some other ARMS products, and none are like this.

I thought you were talkiing about taking the screws out of the base of the mount to ad the spacer. Thats why I said screwdriver. Sorry.

I was talking about taking the screws out of the base to put in the spacer, but these take an allen wrench...  I notice the newer stuff I have has regular screws...

and I will try the freezer, it can't hurt
