Any thoughts on the 552 over the 512 othert than cost. I have a source I can get a 552 for $379 over the $332 for the 512. Both Ver (F)

If you getting a NV device or are thinking about selling it at a later date get the 552.

The 512 on it's lowest setting isn't visible, but can be seen w/ NV(G)s. Unless you want to drop $3K on a gen III/IV NV tube, better off w/ the 512. In the end, it's still up to you. Remember, he who dies with the most toys is still dead.

You just need to decide if you need to use it with nightvision. I went with the 512.
I have been told the 512 will work with NV on the lowest setting. The 552 has easier controls to use it with NV. Other than that I believe they are identical.
