Can anybody explain the differences between the various EOTech revisions? I have a 512 revision F, a 551 revision E, and a 552 revision F. They all seem identicle in operation and use except for the night vision settings on the 551 and 552 (which I will never have use for). Aditionally, there are no markings to differentiate the models on the individual sights except for a small F on the crash cover of the F models, although the boxes are marked with the revision number and date of inspection. I am sure that there are others who would like to know this information but have never asked.hinking.gif

The revision F models have the rubberized buttons and improved electronics that extend battery life.

My 551 revision E also has rubberized buttons.

Rev F has 2x the battery life of the Rev E and is even brighter!!  IIRC The Rev F's are also waterproof to a greater depth than most Rev E's.

Rev E seemed to fix the problem with the wandering windage, and extended battery life from the earlier revisions.

I can't recall if it was Rev E or D where the AA (xx2) models started showing up (in 2003), IIRC It was with the Rev E you could start using NiMH rechargables.

The rubber buttons were first seen on the 55x series in Rev D, later revisions had them showing up on the 51x series.

I believe the rubber buttons first appeared on the 51x series in revision F. I should have been more clear. The earlier 55x series had them. My revision D 552 has the old style buttons.

Uh, did you not see the red tacked thread at the top of page 1 titled, "OPTICS FAQ" ???
There's something in it you might want to see.    The whole reason it was tacked was because of noobs constantly asking the same question over and over.
