What is it going on top of? Even without hearing your answer, I'd say save up and get a quality scope. If you have $80 now wait another 3 months and you have enough for an Aimpoint. I've bought too many inexpensive optics thinking that I would make do only to turn around and buy a good one later...what a waste of money. Good Luck |
| My guess is that's a Chinese knockoff of the Hakko Panorama. The Hakko is a cool sight. You should be able to get one for $150 new. They also pop up on the EE from time to time. There are two versions, the BED 24 and 35. The 35 looks like the one in the pic I believe. They have multi selectable reticles, cowitness on a flattop, have good quality construction, and are FAST. If you're on a tight budget, you would do well with a Hakko Panorama! |

Man, do what you want. For plinking at the range, it will probably work fine. I purchased a cheap ass BSA red dot just to use while saving for my aimpoint. That BSA worked just fine and it was only 35 bucks. Just look at it as a temporary work around until you get the real deal. Now, go buy a cheap knock off , go shoot your rifle and have a blast. Save up for the new Aimpoint coming out soon. This isn't rocket science, its a hobby for pete sakes. ETA: This was supposed to be a good spirited post, I hope you take it in that manner. |

Brady. Slow down a little bit before changing what ought to be a very accurate rifle right out of the box. Take this time to learn your rifle and how to be proficient with the iron sights. The iron sights are where you start and where you finish. Once you are confident in your abilities with your iron sights, you will always be a good shooter. By that time, you will have saved a little more cash than you have now and can buy the quality optic that you will appreciate. Later in time, if your optic fails for what ever reason, you will always be able to fall back on your acquired skill with iron sights. Always maintain your skills with the irons. Good luck. |
