I'm finally gonna get my AA battery Eotech.  Is there any difference, other than night vision capability, between the two AA models?
Thanks!

great answer, how about trying to actually help him out instead of suggesting an obviously 180degree course of action?

No difference other than what you noted.  Both models are great, but the 512 will save some coin.

I had a 552, now have a 512.  Both are identical as far as I can tell.   Since I dont have a PVS14 I didnt see the point in spending the extra money.

552 (NV compatible) is waterproof to 33 feet, 512 is waterproof to only 10 feet. Other than NV compatibility, that is the only other difference. Hope this helps!

Well, it seems the 552 would be the superior optic for aquabumping.

On  my .45acp AR I hung it out about halfway over the carbine handguards.    On my midlength the handguards are too tall to stick it way out, so it rides just barely sticking off the front with just enough room behind it to stick on the buis.   I think I like the rearward postition best even though the reticle appears smaller than when mounted forward.    It may just be a trick from my glasses but it appears a bit larger to me when it's placed further out.
