Using the 22M68 and a normal (full, not the cantilever) spacer:

1.  Will it co-witness my Aimpoint ML2 with my ARMS40 and GI FST and keep the irons in the lower third of the glass?

2.  Will it allow the ML2 factory scope caps to open and fold down into the front "half-rounded" notch of the ARMS40, or will the ML2 be too far rearward?

Pics of this settup with the sight flipped up and the scope caps opened would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

1.  Will it co-witness my Aimpoint ML2 with my ARMS40 and GI FST and keep the irons in the lower third of the glass? this is a "TRUE" co-witness set-up, where your red dot will dead on the top of your front sight post when using the iron...., none of the lower 1/3 with this!

2.  Will it allow the ML2 factory scope caps to open and fold down into the front "half-rounded" notch of the ARMS40, or will the ML2 be too far rearward? this is entirely dependent on "where YOU" place the ML2 on your flat-top. If you place it forward on the flat-top (where most folks do) then your clearance issues will be nil.

Couldn't find exactly what ya wanted, but this may help: see pic and link below....

Thanks

Ya may find exactly what your looking for pic wise by viewing more of this thread: www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=213047&page=1, btw the pic above was on page 9, far as I got into the thread looking for ya.........

I searched the whole thread and there wasn't one ARMS 22M68 mount that wasn't cantilevered (which says something, I guess).

The"full" spacer is the same height as the cantilever spacer, right?

If someone out there has this settup could you post a pic?

Thanks

Yes

and keep the irons in the lower third of the glass?

No.  It's one or the other.  Co-witnessing is when the Irons and the scope's/site's POA are the same.  Keeping the Irons in the lower 3rd is just that.

2.  Will it allow the ML2 factory scope caps to open and fold down into the front "half-rounded" notch of the ARMS40, or will the ML2 be too far rearward?

That's up to you.  You can decide to mount the #22M68 anywhere on your top rail.  You can mount it so far rearward that the opening of the rear cap might be a problem, or you can mount it foward enough that it's not a problem.

Notice I do not have the flip portion of the cap installed, I never use the rear flip. Here is how this rifle looks on a day to day basis.  It works great with a LaRue and 40. The LaRue works great even with the flip portion if it was installed it would clear with no problem. Notice how far the Aimpoint sits farther forward with the LaRue vs the 22M68.

I removed the LaRue with M2 and placed the 22M68 with M-XD older optic on the same rail. I don't have a 40 on another rifle. The cap does hit the 40 but it does not stop the 40 from fully deploying. I installed the flip so you could see how they work togeother.

Now here's how the M-XD normaly looks on it's day to day rifle, notice no rear flip portion. Hope this helps.

The PRI High Aimpoint mount will co-witness in the bottom third, but no throw lever.

Boom, is your picture mirroed or something? I thought the battery and controls of an Aimpoint were on the right side, rather than the left side?
