| I recently ordered an Eotech sight along with the ARMS #2 mount. I was concerned from the beginning that the sight would be too high since it is going on top of my carry handle but I got a hell of a deal on the ARMS #2 mount. Does anyone out there have any experience with an Eotech mounted on the carry handle? I guess what my question is how much of a difference is there in the bullet impact at close range since the bore axis is so much lower then the sight itself. I would also be interested in any other pro's and cons to mounting the eotech on the carry handle also. I don't see many of the optics available mounted on the carry handle. Most of them are mounted on the cantilever type mounts or in alot of cases they are A3 versions and mounted right to the picatinny rail on the AR. |
I think that is to high for the EOTech. I would suggest either the PRI gooseneck or the CRTC (BC-CAM) (which would allow you to co-witness). C4 www.gandrtactical.com |
| I don't know much, but I'd think that the closer the bore axis is to the sight axis, the more accurate your shots will be at any distance. That being said, if you must mount it to the carry handle (non-removable), the use the cantilever cowitness mount. If you can remove the handle, then just mount it directly to the flat top. EOTechs rule! |
