I have an older model Comp M, and ordered a spare battery module from Botach. Looks great, too bad the threads on the module cap are too large to fit into the battery compartment threads.

The threads on the original cap are 14.35mm OD, and the new cap is 14.90mm. Obviously a no go.

I e-mailed Botach last week and have not received a reply. Any thoughts?

IIRC, the spare battery modules only work with the newer M2 or ML2 Aimpoints.

Ditto!
Botach are very much like a grey market operation, bad news!

Yeah, not being compatable with the older models was my first thought. This particular sight came with the wire retainer for the adjustment caps and battery cover. I thought I could update to the rubber retainer and have the extra battery. SOL.

I was unaware of Botach's questionable reputation, I promise not to make this mistake again. Look for it at an EE near you soon!

The double battery module only works with CompM2 and CompML2 models, but you can retrofit the rubber strap (what I like to call the "thong") on the older sights.
