Actually the reason the screws strip out is people overtightening them. The aluminum threads are capable of holding the steel screw just as well as they could hold a helicoil. Unfortunately some people have had issues because they tighten the screw down past the point of necessity and right into the he-man zone.

Or they do it on a dimly lit range at night reinstalling a screw who's loc-tite didnt take hold and by pure luck notice it working out and when they go to put  more loc-tite on it, they dont start it perfectly straight and totally strip out the aluminum threads

I agree that people do man handle them to tight. I am not a fan of screwing one type of metal into another....
