| I want to get a set of throw lever rings for a scope. It has a 50mm objective, so I am going to need the high rings. The ARMS specs say that the center line to tbe base distance is 1.450". Does this mean from the center line of the scope to the TOP of the rail on a flattop AR, or to the very bottom of the scope ring (the part that wraps around the rail)? |

Hi silverc, You are right from the center of the rings to the top of the flat top not to the bottom of the ring. The #22H will work for you. ARMS #22H ![]() www.csgunworks.com [email protected] Here’s some testimonials about CS GunWorks for AR15 Board Mike at CS Gunworks is... |
If your wanting to mount this scope on a flattop AR, you might have a problem with eye relief.... C4 |

I already have it mounted with a 3/4" riser and some cheap ass Millet Rings, so I was looking for an upgrade. The eye relief is not an issue and the ARMS #22H look like they will be just high enough to work (about 1/8" of clearance with a scope cap on the objective lens). They will put the scope 3/8" lower than what it is mounted now, which will actually be easier to use. Thanks for the info. |

Hi silverc, So your scope is 2.575" high? The ARMS #22H rings with the riser will make the center of the scope at 2.2" that I would say would be to high. If you are set up at 1.45" it should clear. I would recommend the 22M rings. Call me I would like to help you. www.csgunworks.com [email protected] Here’s some testimonials about CS GunWorks for AR15 Board Mike at CS Gunworks is... |

The scope now is actually 1 13/16" (1.81") high from the top of the rail to the center of the scope tube. And now it is sitting about 1/2" off the top of the rail at the objective. The ARMS #22 high rings should put the center of the scope at 1.450" off the top of the rail. This is roughly 1 and 7/16" (1.4375"), which means it will sit about 3/8" (0.375") lower with the ARMS rings. Since I have about 1/2" of clearance now, I will still have about 1/8" left when I lower it down 3/8". Plus I need the 1" inserts for the ARMS #22, so that will actually raise the scope too, albeit slightly. I want to use the rings WITHOUT the riser. |

I have a Leupy 30mm, 6.5x20x40LR mounted in ARMS22H directly to the flat top. Height is perfect as is eye relief. Eye relief is a subjective topic and depends on stock length, scope specs and your style of shooting. People that shoot scoped ARs with their nose-to-charging handle do need to shift the optic forward with some sort of extended platform to get proper eye relief with almost any optic. Hope this helps. |
