I just got a Matech flip up BUIS and well...I feel stupid but....how does this thing flip up?  The instructions dont say anything and I thought there was a switch?  Do I just force it up and down?

Take the aperature stalk and push up.  There is a detent that it has to jump over.

LOL, ya, you can't get them as a civie, for some reason picatinney arsenal don't want us having them.  I have a friend that is a CWO that can't get replacement parts from the manufacturer.

Take care not to over torque the screw that's used to mount the sight.  I'm used to mounting KAC 300M BUIS, I hand tighten it until the screw stops turning.  Do not do that with the Matech!  It will keep turning and eventually break  I went to the hardware store and got some machine screws to replace the broken one

OMG. Don't put that on your rifle dude. Your rifle will start short stroking and you will have a hell of a time figuring it out.

You can fid them from time to time on gunbroker.  They vary in price from $95.00 to $125.00.

You can find it you know where to look.  I'll try to find the address of the I got mine from.

On a side note, anyone really thing they will be able to use this thing on a target at 600m?
