Hey all,
I just ordered my new A3 upper with a YHM BUIS...
Kind of having some anxiety now, seems no-one has these on their rifles?

I know it doesn't have neato springs and what-not, but looks like a sturdy little unit.
Any owners like/dislike this buis?

If anyone else cares, I could post my experiences with it once it arrives...

I'd like to hear how it works out.  They have a small shop at the Savannah Air National guars field, close by anyway, and we visited them last weekend.  It's just a mom and pop operation -- for the gun parts anyway -- they seemed nice and I'd just say from that short visit if any problems do arise, they would bend over backwards to help you solve it.  They 'want' to expand the business, and only with good customer service are they going to do it!

Do post a review of it! Hell, around here, we LIVE for reviews!

And YHM has the customer service thing covered, trust me. They are one of the very few places I can order from with zero worries.

I put the YHM folding front and rear sights on my M4gery.  The folding front sight seems to be pretty decent.  My folding rear BUIS has some little flaws from the manufacturing process, but it's nothing I can't live with.  I've already got an EOTech 512 and LaRue mount on the gun and while I would rather have the Troy folding BUIS, I'm just a weekend warrior who figured the extra money would be better spent on ammo.

I'll post some pictures tomorrow.

Double-tap.  How'd the hell that happen?

I've got one on my AR-10.  Works fine for me, although I haven't used it much since I mainly use the Aimpoint.  Functional, good price, locks into place when you flip it up.  Unless something goes wrong with this one I will probably buy another one for my Zombie Gun. (See thread here )

Well, you're all making me feel a bit better... hy.gif

This is my 1st experience with flat-top accesories (only other AR in the "family" is my friends old Colt with an A1 upper) and I'm trying to not let things spiral TOO out of control! Seems decent for the price, so...

I'll crank 'er on there and let you folks know how it goes...
as long as the thing doesn't just snap in half, I'll be alright!
Later!

YHM BUIS
YHM Folding front sight for the gasblock rail
YHM Lightweight FF handguards

So far it's worked great. Only about 200 rounds through it.

i have the yhm front and rear folding sights on my rifle lenght yhm ff forearm i think for the money these things are great.

i feel that these would be hard to beat.

i also have the arms buis and feel that the yhm comes close.

i do not, in any way regret my yhm pusrchase and would recomend them to anyone thinking of making a yhm purchase without a doubt

I had a Bushmaster Modular Carbine and they were the standard rear sight sold under the BMAS designation for Bushmaster, but mde by YMH. I really liked them. I've since sold that rifle but have also bought a YMH rear BUIS for my other flat top. I really do like it , but the only downfall I have is it won't fit underneath my ACOG like a 40L and some others will. Other than that it works great.

I've got one sitting on my RR midlength carbine. It sits solidly and is pretty accurate. It'll do for now until I scratch enough dough together for some glass.

I have one. It does the job. Great value option.

I have the foldong front sight/gas block; if we remember that these are there for emergencies mostly, with primary reliance on an optic, then they can't be beat for the price. I have had the PRI and can't justify the much greater cost, especially if the ACOG has to fail before I need to go to BUIS...

With the ARMS 19S mount it (the YHM-9680 Lightweight Rear Flip Sight) just fits under the ACOG with either aperture selected.  It's an excellent sight, locks up securely, and is very well made.

So the only way to get elevation out of one of these is by adjusting the front post?

This BUIS is what I plan on getting for my rifle also

Yeah I saw that on the BUIS FAQ thread. That's something for me to think about.
