Ok you wouldn't think this would be too hard, but I had to bang mine on with a hammer.

Do they all fit this tightly, or is my upper out of spec?

Why are you banging on it?  My slips right onto my Bushie M4.  Are you sliding it onto the rear of the flat top or are you trying to put it on top like you would scope rings?

Out of the two that I've had/have they were never that tight.  Neither were the ones that I've helped install on my friends' uppers.

One of my shooting collegues has the #40 and it was just as cherry as the rest.

Just slide it on!

It COULD be your upper OR the #40 itself.

Have you tried different BUIS's on the receiver?

Try installing the #40 on someone else's upper as well.

You have to take the crossbolt out first!!!
Seriously, I have never had an ARMS 40 be tight on an upper.  What brand is it?  Wasn't there some issue with early RRA uppers, incorrect rail height or something?

Yup, sliding it on from the rear.
It's a Bushmaster upper.
Haven't tried a different BUIS.

It's on, but it's tighter than a nuns...\

edit...I should have said "tap on" not "bang on" A few soft taps did it.

Shiite amigo!!!

That's all you had to say!

I'm sure you'll be fine.  The snug fit will help the loctite out.

Thanks for letting me have a go at it!  Was it just me shooting right?  I contribute it to a funky shooting position
