hey! I got a noob question for anyone. what are the pros and cons of mounting an eotek right behind the front sight compared to right in front of the rear sight. I plan on buying the eotek and am not sure were to mount it and why.

The main reason to mount it forward is increased field of view and rapid target acquisition.

The main reason to mount it on the receiver is enhanced balance.

thanks, but does one cancel out the other(poor balance= slow target aqesition ect...

Not for your average range warrior. If it's a duty piece then I'd try it both ways to see which you prefer.

EOTech's do not have FOV issues so there is no need to mount it over the HG's. Mount it on your receiver....
