I got a used Aimpoint and it seems that the front
lense isn't put in completely vertical but canted at
a shallow angle. The ring which holds the lense seems
thinner at the top and thicker at the bottom. Is this
normal?

Also I could use some tips how to refinish it.

Call Paul at Aimpoint.  870 423-3398.

They have a life time warrenty if it wasn't tampered with.  If is was he could tell you have much it would cost to fix.

Thanks! I have mailed the headquartes in Sweden (closer to me & within EC borders).

Wasn't there a thread some time ago where somebody refinished an Aimpoint?
